Examinations of the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai are conducted every year as per the schedule which follows:
Session-I (April/May):
Availability of examination forms: January 1st to 15th
Note: Students appearing directly for Praveshika Purna have to apply for the examination form in advance in the first week of December.
Subjects: Hindustani Classical Vocal, Sitar, Flute, Harmonium
Examination Levels: Prarambhik to Madhyama Purna
Session-II (November/ December):
Availability of examination forms: August 1st to 14th
Note: Students appearing directly for Praveshika Purna have to apply for the examination form in advance in the first week of July.
Subjects: Tabla, Indian Classical Dance (Kathak, Odissi, Bharatanatyam)
Examination Levels: Prarambhik to Madhyama Purna
- The institution will not be responsible for the rejection of examination-form by the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, in case of incorrect/incomplete forms.
- It is necessary for the students to get the permission of the Teacher/Principal for appearing in an examination.
- A student will not be allowed to continue classes in the Vidyalaya, if he/she is unable to pass the Prarambhik/Praveshika examinations.
- A student will not be allowed to continue classes in the Vidyalaya, if he/she is unable to pass the Madhyama examination for two consecutive sessions/years.
- Subject to the progress of the student, it may take more than 1 year to appear for Madhyama Pratham examination.
- Appearing in Praveshika Purna directly, the age of the candidate must be 12 years on 15thJanuary (for Session I) or 15thAugust (for Session II). Subject to change.
- Appearing for Madhyama Purna examination, the age of the candidate must be 14 years on 15thJanuary (for Session I) or 15thAugust (for Session II).
- Students may be debarred from appearing in examinations on the basis of lack of preparation/irregular attendance and/or disciplinary grounds even after having filled their examination forms.
- The completion of the course will depend on the capabilities of the student.
- Any break of these rules or an act of indiscipline and/or disobedience is liable to disciplinary action which may amount to expulsion from the Vidyalaya.
- Admit card may be withheld if fees are not paid till June (For April/May Session) and till January (for November/December Session)
- It is mandatory for the students to collect their Admit cards at least two days before the exam. Admit cards will not be given on the day of the examination, or on holidays.
- If the student is absent, it is not the responsibility of the Vidyalaya to inform him/ her about the examinations/activities etc. Students/parents are advised to read the notice-board/ website regularly.
